Mae Nell Harris

Mae Nell Harris, 85, Griffin, formerly of Peachtree City, died Aug. 22, 2000. She was born July 7, 1916 in Coweta County, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Jack" Harris Sr. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell Chapel with the Rev. Ron Whitlock officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens. Survivors include sons, Joe Harris, Raymond Harris and Ronald Harris, all of Griffin; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Louise McAfee, Peachtree City, Lillian Horne, Sergeant, Ga. and Fannie Kate Barber, Newnan. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

Inez R. Emerson

Inez R. Emerson, 65, Peachtree City, formerly of Chicago, Ill., died Aug. 22, 2001. She was born May 22, 1934 in Cook County, Ill., the daughter of Lewis Stein. Memorial services were at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral home, Peachtree City, with the Rev. Tom Zaworski officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Dina Harmlett, Palmetto; grandchildren, Nicholas Millar and Kayla Hamlett, both of Palmetto. Carmichel-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

Ethel Florine Zipperer

Ethel Florine Zipperer, 93, Peachtree City, formerly of Savannah, died Aug. 23, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Zipperer. She had lived in Fayette County for 12 years. She was a member of Peachtree City United Methodist Church, a charter member of Bull Street Baptist Church, Savannah. She was an emeritus member and past matron of Order of Eastern Star, Savannah Chapter #52, a life member of Chandler Hospital Auxiliary, a former member of the Savannah Women’s Club, a volunteer for the American Red Cross and LaFayette Nursing Home, Fayetteville. Graveside services were held at Goshen United Methodist Cemetery, Rincon, Ga. The Rev. Chuck Hodges officiated. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Z. and James Frederick Whitmore; grandchildren, Donna Lee Ishmael and Frederick Scott Whitmore; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the Peachtree City United Methodist Church Building Fund, 400 Wingate Road, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Carl J. Helen Ruth Brown

Helen Ruth Brown, 87, Fayetteville, died Aug. 23, 2001. She was born May 1, 1914 in Fayette County, the daughter of Columbus and Mattie Swann Greer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mearl Brown. Graveside services were at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville, with Reader Connie Strickland officiating. Survivors include her son, Dean and Joan Brown, Fayetteville; grandsons, David Brown, Santa Monica, Calif., and Alan and Cindy Brown, College Park; a great-grandson, Aaron Brown; and a sister, Margaret Banks, Thomaston. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.

William Thornton ‘Bill’ Love

William Thornton “Bill” Love, 81, Fayetteville, formerly of Cumming, died Aug. 25, 2001. He was born Oct. 24, 1919 in Conyers, Ga. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Greene Love. He was retired from Nabisco with 37 years of service and was a resident of Christian City. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Wally Woodcock and the Rev. David Chandler officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include sons Terry and Beverly Love, Fayetteville and Mike and Joyce Love, Snellville; grandsons, Christopher Love and Ryan Love, both of Fayetteville; and sisters-in-law, Bea Love, Cumming and Helen Love, Macon. Mary Alice Rudisill

Mary Alice Rudisill, 52, Hapeville, died August 27, 2001. She was born July 11, 1949, in Rome, Floyd County, Ga. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell & Son Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Larry Phyfe officiating. Interment was at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Forest Park. Survivors include her mother, Mary Fricks, Atlanta; significant other, Joe H. Whitehead, Hapeville; and sisters, Theda Gardner, Fayetteville, Phyllis Williford, McDonough, and Barbara Farrill, Atlanta. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
