Jones makes 'Book of Lists'
Tim Jones Communities, which has its offices in Jonesboro, is among the Atlanta area businesses featured in the Atlanta Business Chronicle's annual "Book of Lists," which was published on Dec. 22, 2000.
Tim Jones Communities was ranked No. 15 in the publication's listing of "Atlanta's Top 25 Home Builders," with positions based on number of permits issued during the previous year.
Tim Jones Communities is a 20-year-old organization which is currently the leading builder in the Clayton/Henry area of Metro South. The company is now building at a pace of over 300 new homes a year.
The owner and president is Tim Jones, who has been involved in building since he was 19 years old and was the 1998-199 president of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and is also a past president of the Metro South Home Builders Association.
He is the 2000 Builder of the Year for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the 2000 Builder Member of the Year for the Home Builders Association of Georgia.
In recent years, he and his company have been recognized with the prestigious Diamond Builder award from 2/10 Home Buyers Warranty (HBW), the nation's leading 10-year home buyer's warranty program, for a proven track record in superior construction standards, design quality, and outstanding customer service.
In 1998, Jonesboro-based Tim Jones Communities Inc. was among the first group of Metro Atlanta area builders to receive the prestigious Certified Professional Home Builder designation.
