Mike and Debbie Wright of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Vanessa Wright, to Steve Walsh, son of Dan and Ann Weintraut of LaGrange and Larry Walsh of Senoia.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Jack and Eunice Chandler of Fairburn and Howard and Jane Wright of Cumming. She is a 1998 graduate of Sandy Creek High School. She attended LaGrange College and Griffin Tech where she received a diploma for master cosmetologist. She is a stylist with Salon Serenity in Peachtree City.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Edward Walsh and the late Vivian Walsh of Newark, Ohio, and Constantine and Kay Babalis of Englewood, Ohio, and Kathryn Ellsworth if Venice, Fla. He is a 1993 graduate of Madison Plains High School in Mount Sterling, Ohio. He served four years with the 4th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army in Ft. Hood, Texas. He is a graduate of the Logistics Institute of Georgia Tech and is employed as the operations manager of Rinnai America Corp. in Peachtree City.
The wedding will be in May, 2005, at North Fayette United Methodist Church, with a reception following at the Hollingsworth House in Fayetteville.
After a honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple will reside in Senoia.
Holt-Williams
Ms. Deborah Smith Holt of Atlantic Beach, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hamilton Holt of Acworth announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Holt, to Derek Justin Williams, son of Gene and Hazel Williams of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Glenn and Martha Jo Smith of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late Howard and Emily Holt of Decatur. She is a 1994 graduate of Druid Hills High School in Atlanta and a 1999 graduate of the University of Georgia where she received a bachelor of science degree in environmental health.
The future groom is the grandson of Dora Roper and the late Thomas D. Roper Sr. of Canton, and the late Abbey Kelley and Charlie Williams of Valdosta. He is a 1997 graduate of Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone and a 2001 graduate of the University of Georgia where he received a bachelor of science degree in biology.
Both will graduate from the Medical College of Georgia in May 2005 and will begin their pediatric residency training in June.
The wedding will be Saturday, April 16, 2005, at The Hardeman Sams House in Athens.
Comissiong-Hill
Paul and Dolly Comissiong of Peachtree City announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jennifer Comissiong, to Owen Hill, son of Barbara and Lenny Hill of Auckland, New Zealand.
The bride-to-be is a 1997 graduate of McIntosh High School. She attended the University of Georgia both for her undergraduate degree in psychology in 2000, and her law degree in 2004. She is a labor and employment litigation attorney with King & Spalding in Atlanta.
The groom-elect grew up in New Zealand. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Stony Brook University in New York and his law degree from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. He currently practices labor and employment litigation with Jackson Lewis in Atlanta.
The wedding will be in April at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
