Fayette man accused of shaking infant, causing brain injuries

A north Fayette man remained in jail Thursday night, accused of shaking a 9-week-old infant, causing multiple injuries Feb. 4, The Citizen has learned.
Jamal Thomas, 20, of 210 North Fayette Drive, Fayetteville, is charged with one felony count of cruelty to children in the first degree.
Investigators aren’t releasing details on the case, but the arrest warrant filed in the case provides some information about the extent of the child’s injuries.
The warrant states that Thomas shook the child multiple times, “causing subdural hematomas bilaterally and ischemic injury to the brain.”
The warrant also states that Thomas struck the baby’s head on a door frame, causing an injury and visible bruising to the infant’s right forehead.
The incident took place at Thomas’ residence, according to the warrant. It is unknown if Thomas is related to the baby.
Fayette County Magistrate James A. White declined to set a bond for Thomas, which means he will remain in jail for at least the time being.

It's times like this that I think an eye for an eye is on order-
Find the biggest strongest guys you can and let them take turns banging his head on the door frame and shaking him til his brains rattled---he does not deserve to live. Sad.

The problem Gym, is that being evil does not preclude having a
brain---some of the most evil people who have existed have been intelligent. What this piece of you know what lacks is a heart and any morals. Anyone who harms a child in any way should have whatever they do to that child have done over and over to them with the person administering the punishment having the same advantage in size and strength as the low life had against that child. I don't have any compunction about horrible things being done to anyone who chooses to hurt a child who has no way of defending themselves. If this happened in our justice system you would probably see a lot less child cruelty, but of course we are too politically correct to do that.

Poor Little Baby
I hope this man never gets out of jail.
There is a home out there that will welcome that baby! I hope that the injury does not cause permanent damage. 9 weeks old. What 'man' would do such an act to an innocent. Lock him up and throw away the key!
