I understand your point

However, we can't expect the POTUS to travel coach.

My previous employer had many environmental initiatives, yet when management travelled, there were protocols in place for accidents. President and unit VP's rarely shared a plane in case of a crash. Travelling in the same vehicle was also limited to distance and highway speeds.

No one wanted the whole management staff to perish if there was a catastrophe.

Not disagreeing with the hypocracy, but there are compelling reasons not to be so stringent.

Bruno's and splitting-up travel

After what happened to the Bruno's grocery store chain with the Chairman, Founder, CEO and several VP's all being killed in a plane crash on the corporate jet suddenly, a lot of companies immediately took notice.

Is 17 years a large enough

Is 17 years a large enough sample, (to conclude a change has been made,) in the trend of global warming?

17 year trend

This is an example of cherry-picking data at its finest. Why 17 years? Because it started with one of the warmest years on record. The object is not to come up with any sort of explanation, the object is to create doubt. It is just palin dumb.

Rolling stone, yep, I think

Rolling stone, yep, I think you are correct, 17 years is a little too small a sample.

Besides, this is just political theater so moneyed up special interest can justify snatching up peoples farmland, (using eminent domain,) to build a pipeline for the Koch Bros.

King Abdullah II and Emperor Obama

Gee Cy. Well, you got part of it. Not much being told about the rest of this story.

4 days ago, Jordanian King Abdullah was in D.C., meeting with Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.

Where does he pop up next? Why, by golly, he just happened to show up at the Sunnyland estate in Rancho Mirage. And who just happened to be there? Emperor Obama. Just for a little r & r golf weekend, again. Just a little too tough to meet in DC. No global warming going on there, right?

Well moe...

I suspect the anointed one went to California to, well to escape the snow and bitter cold weather in Washington. After all it's global warming he has to push and it's pretty silly to sell that line of crap in a city that is having problems coping with frigid weather.

Climate Change (aka Global Warming)

Every once in a while, someone will start to lecture me about Climate Change. I've stopped trying to defend my viewpoint, because I've learned that, for them, it's become a religion.

Instead, I ask what actions they have personally taken to reduce their carbon footprint - Have they moved closer to work to reduce or eliminate their commute? Have they reduced the quantity or size of their vehicles? Have they moved into a smaller home? Have they reduced their vacation travel?

It gets pretty quiet. For most of these people, they want someone to pay the price - as long as it's not themselves.

Fen's Law states: The Left doesn’t really believe in the things they lecture the rest of us about.

That pretty much says it all.

Obama and global warming

President Barack Obama and his aides cited the current drought in California as an example of what could be in store for much of the rest of the country as human-caused climate change intensifies.

Oh yes, human-caused climate change. That would be like….well like flying two B747's to Honolulu so a family of four and their two pet dogs can take vacation.

Yup moc...

that's right out of the Demo's and the President's SOP....blame Bush or for that matter, blame someone else.

BTW, did you see where 20 to 30% of those enrolled in Obamacare have not paid their first payment yet. I wonder how they'll deal with these deadbeats?

That's an easy one Cy, they won't go after them. The deadbeats will still be treated better than those who pick up the tab. Same old, same old.....
