Mr. William Albert (Bill) Davis, Jr., age 84 of Conyers, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Holloway Davis. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and David Lee; son and daughter-in-law, Bert and Debbie Davis; granddaughters, Lindsay and Abby Davis, all of Fayetteville.

Born in Augusta, Ga., Bill was the son of William Albert Davis and Ruth Purvis Davis.

After graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology, he served in the U.S. Army as an instructor in the Southeastern Signal School in the 1950’s.

He was employed by Georgia Power Company from 1958 until his retirement as General Marketing Manager in 1986.

Mr. Davis was a licensed pilot at age sixteen. Other hobbies in his younger years included hunting and fishing and in later years included amateur gunsmithing, woodworking and golf.

Memorial services were held Tues., Feb. 21, 2012 at 12p.m. at Conyers First United Methodist Church with Dr. P. Alice Rogers officiating.
