Vincent Michael Rossetti, 60, of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away along with his longtime friend and business associate Jeffrey Van Curtis, 53 and their flight instructor Willy Lutz, 69 on February 22, 2014 as a result of a tragic airplane accident at the LaGrange-Callaway Airport in LaGrange, Ga.

Michael was born in Gettysburg, Pa. on March 26, 1953 to Vince and Connie Rossetti. He graduated from Towson University in 1975 where he received a Bachelor of Business Science degree. Michael married Pamela Orr Rossetti from Fairburn, Ga. in 1986, and they celebrated 27 wonderful years together – with the greatest joy of his life being their three remarkable children: Rebecca Michelle, Natalie Christine and Vincent McKeever.

After a successful career in the shipping industry in Chicago, Michael moved to the Peachtree City area in 1980 and formed Ravin Homes with his father, mother and several siblings. Building thousands of homes in more than 60 communities throughout Peachtree City, Fayette County and the surrounding areas, Michael and his family have built Ravin Homes into one of the premier custom home builders in the state.

Michael was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman, with hobbies that included hunting, fishing and travel. He was especially passionate about flying and died doing something he loved and in which he found great joy.

Michael was also an active member of the community, serving as president of the Homebuilders Association of Midwest Georgia, as well as on the boards of the YMCA, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Bank of Georgia and the Towson State Alumni Association.

Michael is survived by his wife Pam and children Rebecca, Natalie and Vincent Rossetti of Peachtree City, Ga.; parents Vince and Connie Rossetti of Peachtree City, Ga.; father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Joan Orr; brother David Rossetti of Peachtree City, Ga.; brother Stephen Rossetti of Peachtree City, Ga.; sister Mary Quinn Rossetti Teagle of Peachtree City, Ga.; brother Tony Rossetti of Greenville, Ga.; brother Jerome Rossetti of Blue Ridge, Ga.; sister DeSales Rossetti deGolian of Peachtree City, Ga.; as well as 12 nieces and nephews, and one grandniece.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, February 27 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Mowell & Sons Funeral Home, located at 200 Robinson Road in Peachtree City, Ga. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28 at 1 p.m. at Peachtree City United Methodist Church at 225 Robinson Road in Peachtree City, Ga.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michael Rossetti Memorial Fund at the Salvation Army; Southwest Christian Hospice; and the Foundation for Mitochondrial Medicine at mitochondrialdiseases.org., in memory of Michael Rossetti.
