Peachtree City water, sewer board selects officers

The Peachtree City Water and Sewerage Authority (PCWASA) recently elected officers to lead the utility during 2015.

Bill Holland was selected by his peers on the six-member board to continue serving as chairman. Phil Mauler was re-elected as vice chairman and John Dufresne as secretary/treasurer.

Board members Paul Gagliano and Wes Saunders, and alternate Glenn Adams complete the current board.

Holland has over 40 years of experience working in architectural design and engineering. He spent 33 years working for the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, where he
advanced to the role of city architect. The balance of his career was spent consulting in the private sector. Upon his retirement from the City of Los Angeles, he moved to Peachtree City, where he has resided since 2004.

Mahler is a retired federal agent who performed and supervised audits of businesses for the
U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Mahler has been a resident of Peachtree City since 2006, and he has served as a member of the PCWASA Board of Directors continuously since 2008.

Dufresne is retired from the U.S. Army, where he served for 20 years, not counting the three years he served as an executive officer at Fort Benning and the two years spent as a project
officer in Afghanistan. He is currently the president of Shred Box, Inc. in Peachtree City.

Gagliano is a licensed professional engineer and a licensed water reclamation facility operator who currently is a captain with the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. With a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Civil Engineering, he is the former city engineer for Homewood, Alabama. He is also a former officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Saunders is a semi-retired water professional with experience managing and operating wastewater treatment facilities. With a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Tech, he served for seven years on the Peachtree City Planning Commission, including three as chairman.

Adams is the president and owner of Property Magic, LLC, which is a company that analyzes distressed properties for investment. Like Gagliano, he has previous work experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he served as a facilities branch chief in addition to being involved in the installation of force mains, lift stations, and gravity fed systems.
