Carole Edith Lyman King, age 67, of Peachtree City, GA passed away on February 5, 2011.

She was born in Lake Charles, LA on March 13, 1943 to Arthur Richard Lyman, Jr. and Virginia Pierce Brown Lyman. Carole was a graduate of Florida State University, a teacher with the Department of Defense and a long-time substitute for Fayette County and Blockbuster. She was an active member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority Alumnae in Peachtree City, Pan-Hellenic Association Atlanta Southern Crescent.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond J. King, II; sons, Raymond J. King, III and daughter-in-law, Jennifer, of McDonough, GA, Jonathan L. King and daughter-in-law, Kari, of Peachtree City, GA, Lyman P. King and daughter-in-law, Mindi, of Peachtree City, GA; six grandchildren, Dillan, Alexander, Devin, Kaitlin, Michael, and Kendall; brother, Arthur Richard Lyman, III; and one sister, Cheryl Lyman Russell.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church at 101 N. Peachtree Parkway (at the intersection of Hwy 54 and Peachtree Parkway), Peachtree City, GA on March 5, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gamma Phi Beta Alumni Association in Peachtree City, GA.
