The Fayette County Board of Realtors in partnership with Rachel’s Dance Connection is excited to announce the second annual “Fayette Celebrity Dancers” charity benefit coming up April 26 at Starr’s Mill High School. Show time is 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s Celebrity Dancers represent a wide array of Fayette County businesses, industries and arenas. All are volunteering their time and talents to partner with Rachel’s experienced dancers for an unforgettable show. Ten couples are already hard at work practicing weekly to learn their dance routines and show off their ability to captivate an audience. 

This year’s Dancing Celebrities are:

• Cathy Berggren, Executive Director of the Real Life Center. Her dancing partner is Steve Vied.

• Shane Buffkin, owns Shane Buffkin Salon. His dancing partner is Beverly Ferguson.

• Jim Chancellor, a Realtor with Lindsey Marketing Group. His dancing partner is Becky Steele.

• Kim Estes, is the managing Broker for Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Partners in Peachtree City. Her dance partner is Wayne Wilson.

• Maggie Laton, owns Laton Marketing and participates in fundraisers for congenital heart defect research. Her dancing partner is Guy Garrison

• Mike Price is a personal trainer and Zumba instructor and plans to become a physicians’ assistant. His dancing partner is Rachel Ferguson.

• Courtney Russell is an eighth grade teacher at Booth Middle School in Peachtree City. Her dancing partner is Bond Morgan.

• Gary Sloan, is a Navy veteran and owner of Discovery Inspections. His dancing partner is Beverly Bauer.

• Liz Taylor, is a Mortgage Banker with LoanSouth and enjoys spending time with her family. Her dancing partner is Sega Cissokho.

• Dr. Tommy Turkiewicz, has been in private dental practice in Peachtree City for 19 years. His dancing partner is Lois Kroll.

Fayette Celebrity Dancers is one of two fundraising events for Noel November 2014, an annual auction of Christmas trees, wreaths and holiday collectibles, as sponsored by the Board of Realtors since 1994.

All monies raised will stay local and support local charities. 

Rachel Ferguson, owner of Rachel’s Dance Connection has been teaching dancers of all ages for the last 25 years on Atlanta’s southside. She and her dancers have also hosted this event in Coweta County for five years with a great turnout from the community.   

“We’re expecting this year to exceed all our expectations and are counting on our Fayette County citizens and friends in the surrounding area to come out and support the couples and the local charities as we all enjoy a great night of entertainment,” said Ferguson.

How can you be a part of it? You may to go to the website, www.FayetteCelebrityDancers.com and vote for your favorite couple. One dollar or more per vote or just donate to the event. Your pledge and donation will determine the People’s Choice award. 

Tickets are available at the website ($15 in advance or $20 at the door), through any of the dancers or at the Fayette County Board of Realtors.

Dance Level and Program sponsorships are available for businesses, groups and/or individuals wishing to help support the event along with their favorite dancers.
