Hulett Byron Bearden of Fayetteville formerly of Bremen, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 in a local assisted living facility.

He was born in Carroll County, December 22, 1934, son of the late Berlin Eugene Bearden and Ila Belle McGuire Bearden. Mr. Bearden retired in 1974 as SM SGT from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service. He later retired from the University of West Georgia as a warehouse supervisor. Mr. Bearden was a graduate of Waco High School and was by faith a Primitive Baptist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife in 1987, Jackie Salter Bearden and his brother, Ronnie E. Bearden in 1970.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wyatt Bearden of Fayetteville; sons and daughters-in law, Alan and Wanda Bearden of Villa Rica, David and Tammy Bearden, Hampton, Jeff and Lisa Bearden of Rome, Tim and Triska Bearden of Carrollton; a sister, L. Jean Jones of Bremen; grandchildren, Matt Bearden, Zach Bearden, Michael Bearden, April Jarrell, Brittany Bearden, Madison Bearden, Christopher Bearden, Brantley Bearden, Reagan Bearden, Megan Blue and Taylor Ainsworth, 5 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Service was held Tuesday, April 22 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Elder Dave Chandler officiating. Music was furnished by Buddy Gentry. Pallbearers were Matt Bearden, Zach Bearden, Brantley Bearden, Michael Bearden, Don Williamson, Donnie Lee, Danny Johnson and Cody Blue. Reverend Buddy Gentry conducted the graveside service. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with full Military Honors.
