A benefit motorcycle ride to help an injured Fayette County firefighter is planned for Saturday, May 12.

The ride will commence at Wings-N-Things on Senoia Road in Tyrone to raise money for Firefighter Brad Boemanns, who was injured in the line of duty Oct. 29.

The event, which starts at 11:30 a.m. will include free food donated by Sysco, a 50-50 raffle and an auction. Local band Tangent will also perform.

The cost for the ride is $20 per rider and $10 per passenger. Kickstands will go up at 1:30 p.m. and the ride will go through Tyrone to Fayetteville.

Boemanns was burned on over 18 percent of his body when part of the structure collapsed during a house fire.

The ride is being put on by the NobleHeroes Foundation. Funds will be used to defray Boemanns’ medical expenses.
