Kathy Jann Herriman Baker, 57, of Peachtree City, Ga., died May 12, 2012 after a long battle with breast cancer.

She was born September 8, 1954 in Springdale, Ark., to Arlis and Madelyn (Cook) Herriman.

Mrs. Baker is a 1972 graduate of Huntsville High School and a 1977 graduate of the University of Arkansas where she obtained a degree in marketing.

Mrs. Baker loved gardening, caring for others, cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks, celebrating autumn, traveling to the mountains, hosting parties, and most of all, being with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, love of color coordinated pictures, generosity, inspiring attitude and love of life.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her father, Arlis Herriman, Sr., and her niece Heather Herriman.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Charles Baker of Peachtree City, Ga.; one daughter Jessica Hutcheson and husband Kevin of Springfield, Mo.; one stepson Kris Baker and wife Meredith of Sherrill, Ark.; one granddaughter, Jenna Hutcheson; four siblings. Jill (Phil) McConnell of Bryant, Ark., Arlis (Kathy) Herriman, Jr. of Fayetteville, Ark.; Joe (JoAnne) Herriman of Springdale, Ark. and Jennifer (Wyatt) Blankenship of Mena, Ark.; numerous nieces and nephews and many “fans” she called her family and friends.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City with Reverend Larry Phillip officiating.

Her remains will be carried to Huntsville, Ark. for funeral services.
