Clyde Brunelle “Bru” Thompson, 73, passed from this life into his eternal glory on May 21, 2013.

He spent his life as a prime example of how to imitate his personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He loved everyone with a Christ-like love and served others in many different ways. Whether he was painting, singing, working, writing or caretaking, he did it with an air of excellence as he taught others how to truly live for Jesus.

He loved his country as is evidenced from his service in the Navy. After his time in the service, Bru was an engineer for AT&T for many years. 

Bru leaves behind his loving wife Paulette N. Thompson, sons Christopher B. Thompson and Jody P. Thompson, daughters Dana T. Hawkins and Virginia T. Moore, sister Cheryl L. Vosges.

He was preceded in death by his parents C. B. Thompson and Merle Thompson, his son Norris T. Thompson, and his grandson Dustin T. Thompson. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren,nieces and nephews. 

There was a celebration of life in his honor at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, at Zion Hill Baptist Church located at 1808 Lake Jodeco Road, Jonesboro, Ga. 30236.
