Brooks thrift shop celebrates anniversary with special sales

Second Chance Thrift Shop, a mission of Brooks United Methodist Church, is turning five. To celebrate, the shop will offer customers five special sales and giveaways June 19-21.

Thursday and Friday, June 19 and 20, all clothes will be half off, and Saturday, June 21, customers can pick any one item to be half off.

There will be drawings for a raffle basket and gift certificates, as well as refreshments. Every customer will also receive a free punch on their Frequent Shopper’s Card.

Second Chance Thrift Shop is in a 100-year-old home at 151 W. McIntosh Rd. in Brooks, 10 minutes east of Starr’s Mill High School. Hours are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Nearly 100 percent of proceeds go to local and international charities.
