PTC man arrested for child molestation
Peachtree City resident David Johnson was arrested June 23 on charges of molestation and sexual battery involving a young boy, police said.
Johnson, 33, was arrested June 23 on charges of aggravated child molestation and aggravated sexual battery, according to Fairburn Detective Tiffany Hudson. Johnson was arrested by officers from Peachtree City based on warrants and turned over to Fairburn.
Hudson said the charges stemmed from allegations made by the boy to his doctor in May indicating that Johnson had done inappropriate things to him two years earlier. Those actions occurred while Johnson resided in Fairburn, Hudson said.
Gene, this problem is not worse, it's always been bad. Child sexual abuse is at epidemic levels in America and until adults start taking responsibility, children will continue to be victimized. 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday. Our kids are being preyed upon every day by people we know and trust. Stop leaving your kids to be victimized, take responsibility, learn the warning signs and reduce one on one situations.
Is it me or do we see this type of crime becoming more and more of an issue?
