Chick-fil-A’s building plan for a new restaurant on Ga. Highway 54 West in Peachtree City will be tweaked a bit to accommodate a new store prototype, according to City Planner David Rast.

There are no details available yet on the new look for the restaurant, which will be located at The Overlook shopping center on Hwy. 54 at Line Creek Drive. The site location is directly off the highway, next door to a site that will soon become a RaceTrac convenience store.

The necessary modifications to the site plan will require a blessing from the city planning commission, Rast said.

The hope is the new architecture will draw raves from the community, Rast noted.

“I hope it blows some people away,” Rast said.

This would be Chick-fil-A’s fourth store in Peachtree City.

Rast said the RaceTrac company is expected to begin construction soon on the store, which is also a new format for the company, which is pitching the business as a “neighborhood market.” The RaceTrac will feature outdoor seating so customers will have a place to enjoy drink and food treats purchased inside the store.

RaceTrac’s food and drink offerings are highlighted with an expanded area in the company’s Fayetteville store. This will be RaceTrac’s first location in Peachtree City.
