Senoia DDA to hold D-1 BoE forum

Candidates for the Coweta County School Board will speak and take questions at a forum to held on Monday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Freeman-Sasser Building in Senoia. Each candidate will make a brief presentation about themselves and their platforms. The public will have the opportunity to submit questions, which will be chosen at random by the moderator and presented to the candidates.

Candidates Amy Dees, Jimmy Harrison, and Andrew Krause are vying for the District 1 seat formerly held by Steve Bedrosian who chose not to run for re-election. In the District 1 At-Large race, incumbent Michael Sumner will face off against challenger April Parker.

The forum will be moderated by Mr. Craig Humphrey, a lifelong resident of Coweta County. He is a retired economics and humanities instructor who taught a total of 29 years at Central High in Newnan, McIntosh High in Peachtree City and most recently at the CEC in Newnan.

“I appreciate being considered for this important function and I look forward to contributing to the voters making an informed choice in November,” Humphrey said.

The Freeman-Sasser Building is located in the Seavy Street Park in Senoia. The forum is sponsored by the Senoia Downtown Development Authority.
