0Michael C. Powell, 69, of Peachtree City, passed away November 3, 2013.
He was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army and later became a real estate appraiser for Benchmark Appraisal Group. He was an avid golfer and loved the Georgia Bulldogs.
He is survived by his wife Judy Powell of Peachtree City; daughter Melanie (Nick) Haney of Stockbridge; son Jason Allen (Mandi) Powell of Peachtree City; grandson Jaden Griffitts; brother Allen (Joyce) Powell of Fitzgerald; mother-in-law Frances Hannaford of Peachtree City; niece Valerie Tribble of Byron and several other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Liver Foundation.
