Congrats to FCHS Marching Tigers

Congrats to all of the band members, Dr. Rhoden and her staff and to all of the parents that volunteer to make it all happen. What a great season!
Now if McIntosh could find a leader of the same caliper of Dr. Rhoden to lead their band program maybe they could compete at this level, but until then its the same ol, same ol.
Congratulations again Tigers, you Rock!

Clarinet player Nikolas Smith of the Fayette County High Marching Tigers is one of 125 high school band students from across the country chosen as a member of the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band. He is one of seven from Georgia to make the cut. This is the fourth year Fayette County High has had a band member chosen for the U.S. All-American Band.

Band directors nominate their outstanding marching musicians and color guard members for the honor. Students must be on track to graduate the same year as the All-American Marching Band selection for which they are nominated.

The U.S. Army All-American Marching Band has been a fixture at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl since 2008. It features the top 125 high school senior marching band members from across the United States. Members get an all-expenses-paid trip to bowl week in San Antonio, Texas in January
