Jerry C. Williams, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 16, 2013.

He was born in Alto, Texas on January 1, 1940, to the late Clenon Farley & Ada Mae Williams.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Beverly Foster Williams, daughter Suzanne & husband Alan Carter of Covington, Ga., brother Farley Wayne & wife Sharon Williams of Blairsville, Ga., sister Benita Owens of College Station, Texas, grandchildren Evan, Dixon, & Grayson Carter & many nieces, nephews & numerous other relatives.

After graduation from San Jacinto High School in Houston, Texas, he enlisted in the United States Army from June 15, 1958 until his discharge on July 14, 1961. He was trained as a general crypto repairman & served in Korea.

He worked for over thirty years in technical sales & service for the national & international manufacturer of automated inspection, material handling & full-line electro-optical color sorting & processing equipment for the food processing industry. He was employed for 20 years with ESM International, Inc. (Division of Geosource) as Senior Regional Sales Manager for the Southeastern US, 5 years with Key Technology as the Southeastern US Regional Manager, & retired in 2002 after 3 years with ELEXSO, Inc. as the National Sales Manager for the US division of the German manufacturer of electro-optical inspection systems.

In his early years, Jerry was an avid sport parachute jumper. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, organic gardening & yard work, metal detecting for civil war artifacts, astronomy, home remodeling, working in his beloved shop & helping friends & neighbors trouble shoot & repair projects. He cherished the time he spent with his family, friends and his precious grandchildren. He was always positive, was a dedicated friend, devoted husband & father & was a gentleman who never met a stranger.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City, 200 Robinson Road, Peachtree City, Ga. 30269.
