The annual “Light Up the Night” toy drive presented by the Peachtree City Police Department starts Monday through Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. in the parking lot of the Peachtree City Walmart.

The donation area will be easy to discern as police vehicles will have their lights flashing to attract attention. Department volunteers and those from the Community Emergency Response Team will collect unwrapped, new toys and cash donations for local families in need. In the past such funds have been used to keep utilities on for families that are struggling financially.

There will also be Light Up the Night toy drives at two other locations in the city from Dec. 4-6 and from Dec. 10-12; those locations have not yet been announced.

Citizens may also make donations in person at the police department at 350 south Peachtree Parkway Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
