The First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City will host two musical performances on Sunday, Dec. 8: the Southern Crescent Chorale and the Georgia Singers.

The Christmas with the Southern Crescent Chorale will be held at 3 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Bennett’s Mill Middle School Bellisimo Chorus will join the Southern Crescent Chorale for holiday favorites including “Silent Night,” “Do You Hear What I Hear,” “Angels We Have Heard on High” and many more including excerpts from Handel’s Messiah. The singers will be accompanied by a full orchestra.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. Purchase tickets from any Chorale member, at the Fayetteville Library, at the door the night of the performance or through the Southern Crescent Chorale website, www.southerncrescentchorale.org.

The Georgia Singers will present a holiday concert that evening at 6:15 p.m. The Georgia Singers concert is free, but tax-deductible donations are welcome.

The Holiday Concert will feature performances of choral music for women’s voices, including works by Handel, Vaughan Williams, Fauré, music from the Venetian Ospedali by Francesco Brusa, as well as traditional carols.

Featured soloists are Jessica Morris, oboe; and Mikeila McQueston, Lindsey Mitchell and Tyler Blount, sopranos.

The Singers are under the direction of Dr. Franklin Green and accompanied by Rich Massengale. The church is at 206 Willowbend Road. For more information, call 770-487-7757, or visit www.firstpresptc.org.
