The Youth of Fayette Presbyterian Church on Ga. Highway 92 North will host their annual Santa’s Spaghetti Supper on Saturday, Dec. 11 at the church.

A fundraiser for the group’s 2011 ski trip, the supper will be at 5:30 p.m.

Suggested donation is $5 per adult and $2 per child.

After dinner, Santa will stop by for pictures with the children.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stephens of Fayettville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hammonds of Luthersville, Mrs. Imogene Barker of Sharpsburg, and the late Arvell Stephens of Fayetteville. “It’s still a bit unreal. I was the only one for so many years and now I have a family.”

Those were the animated words of Germantown, Tennessee resident Pat Wilks, who visited recently with her sister and Peachtree City resident Devy Bruch. The twowere first reunited last year after most of a lifetime of never knowing the other existed. The reason: Devy was one of the many babies stolen by the infamous Georgia Tann, who from the 1920s until 1950 ran the Tennessee Children’s Home Society and a home for unwed mothers. Read More»

Georgia Singers will  present their fall concert  Friday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City. Admission is free, and the community is invited to attend and enjoy the wonderful sounds of this remarkable local choir.  Included in the musical selection is a wide variety of styles, both sacred and secular; classical to Broadway; followed by delightful music for the holiday season.
