Brooks United Methodist to offer dance classes in waltz, wedding dance beginning February 16

Beginning Saturday, Feb. 16 through March 9, from 7 until 8 p.m., Brooks UMC will offer classes in the waltz , taught at a beginner level. Then, from 8-8:30 p.m., there will be a bonus class in wedding dance, also at a beginner level.

People who do not want to make a financial commitment may drop in for a fee of $10 per person, per class. The class is $35 per person for a four week session. Read More»

Lenten lunches start today at FFUMC
Beginning Ash Wednesday and continuing on subsequent Thursdays through March 28, from noon until 1 p.m.  Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will host Lenten Lunches prepared by the UMC circles and a devotional message by pastors, lay leaders and other guest speakers. The lunches will be served in the Fellowship Hall. The cost is $2. The church is across from the old courthouse in downtown Fayetteville.

All Saints Anglican will break ground for new church complex this Sunday

On Sunday, Feb. 10, at 3 p.m., All Saints Anglican Church of Peachtree City will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of its new complex at 149 Ebenezer Rd. near Ga. Highway 54 in Fayette County. The 12,000 sq. ft., gothic-style facility will be located on eight acres and will consist of a 300-person sanctuary, small separate chapel, fellowship hall, and six classrooms. National Heights Baptist church will host a four week pre-marital/marital course on relationships, communication, conflict-resolution, and more beginning Feb. 17. The cost is $35 per couple.

The workshop comes with workbook, online assessment surveys, relationship tips, and more.

Sessions will meet in the main office building at National Heights Baptist Church, 103 Old Norton Rd., Fayetteville.

National Heights Baptist church will host a four week pre-marital/marital course on relationships, communication, conflict-resolution, and more beginning Feb. 17. The cost is $35 per couple.

Annual fertilizer, pinestraw sale now being held at PTCUMC

The United Methodist Men at Peachtree City United Methodist Church are now taking orders for their 34th Annual Fertilizer and Pine Straw Sale.

Delivery dates will be on Feb. 23 and March 2. Products are priced comparably to big box retailers in the area and the men deliver to individual homes free of charge.

Parenteen seminar will give insights on raising teenagers

Trinity Fellowship Church in Sharpsburg will host a free Parenteen seminar led by Chap Clark this Saturday, Feb. 9, from 1:30-5:30 p.m. on the campus of Trinity Fellowship Church just west of Peachtree City, 8814 Ga. Dogwood Church offers GriefShare

Community members who have experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to register for the GriefShare program held at Dogwood Church.

Those attending will find encouragement, comfort and help in grieving the death of a loved one.
