She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. White was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. She worked for the Fulton County Board of Education for many years. Prior to that, she was a devoted mother and homemaker.

Philisita (Ms. Mama) was born to the late Charles & Agatha Bryan on March 10, 1923 in Guy's Hill, Jamaica. She attended Guy's Hill Primary and went on to procure her skills as a creative entrepreneur. She was a member of Guy's Hill Methodist in Jamaica. She then migrated to the US in 1981 and went on to be baptized at Calvary Temple in Peachtree City, Ga.
