Alix "Laggie" Kersey, 96, of Fayetteville, passed away on December 8, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Verdie and Susan Nolen Stallings.

She is survived by nieces; Sarah Blum, Sue Spears and Angela Phillips and several great nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 3 p.m, at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, Ga. The family will receive friends after the service at the home of Sue Spears to celebrate Laggie's life. Read More»

Joe Harold Pritchett, Sr. and Dorothy Marie Vickery Pritchett held hands in the presence of the Lord on December 5, 2014.

Funeral services for both were held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Rev. Ray Kuykendall officiated. Burial followed at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.

Rick Jones, 64, of Fayetteville, Georgia, died Sunday, November 16, 2014.

Rick Jones is survived by his wife, Allene Jones; daughter Kelley (Michael) Meyers; and son Daniel (Caroline) Jones; and grandchildren, Katelyn Meyers, age 2; and Lily Jones, age 14 months.

David Bartlett Roten Jr.

David Bartlett Roten Jr., 34, of Peachtree City, Ga., served in the United States Army as a decorated Special Forces Weapons Sergeant. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, among others. Since his honorable discharge in 2010, David has been supporting the U.S. Government in austere environments. William “Billy” Bridges, 89, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, December 7 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Highland Hills Baptist Church, 1370 Briarcliff Road, Macon, Ga. 31211. James Walter Moss, age 82

Mr. James Walter Moss, age 82, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at his home in Fayetteville, Ga.

He was born September 16, 1932 in Atlanta, Ga., to late James Edgar Moss of Palmetto Ga., and Lunell Banks Moss of Fayetteville Ga., and long time residence of Mountain View Ga.

James served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 4 years, with two years in Japan during the Korean War. He was an avid sportsman and fan. In high school he played football and pitched for Jonesboro High School. He followed the Atlanta Braves and Falcons with great interest. Read More»

Mrs. Betty O'Brien, 89, of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away on November 29, 2014 after a short illness.

A native of Milford, Conn. she moved to Peachtree City in 1979. She was a member of St. Andrews in-the-Pines Episcopal Church where she was very active in her church life and activities, and made vestments for the priest. She was also very active in the Girls and Boy Scouts.
