Betty P. Campbell

Ms. Betty P. Campbell was born in Samson, Ala. on Jan. 24, 1920 and passed away at home peacefully on Feb. 6, 2013.

As a teen, she played the guitar and sang on the radio. At the age of sixteen, she married Porter Campbell and a year later had a son. Then three years later, a daughter was born and her family was complete. Read More»

Riesberg, our wife, mother, and grandmother leaves a legacy of resourcefulness, creativity, love, and devotion to her family and God.  She was born on June 12, 1941 and passed away on February 7, 2013. A service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Fayetteville on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 4:00 pm. Pastor Hugh Kirby to officiate. Visitation at the church prior to service, 2-4 pm.

Reverend Frank Floyd Strickland, 89, of Thomaston, Ga. passed away Jan. 28, 2013.

He was born March 5, 1923 in Winter Garden, Fla. He was ordained as a Baptist minister in 1948 and served within six churches.

He was born in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Connie Annie Byess. He was a member of St. James The Apostle Catholic Church.

Kathleen Morin O'Flynn of Fayetteville

Mrs. Kathleen Morin O'Flynn died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at Doctors Hospice in Fayetteville, Ga.

Her funeral service was Monday 10 a.m. at Kimbrell-Stern in Albany, Ga. with interment in Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, Ga. Rev. Stephen Pontzer officiated. There was a prayer service Sunday 6 p.m. at Kimbrell-Stern with visitation until 8 p.m.

A native of Laconia, N.H., Mrs. O'Flynn had lived in Albany, Ga. since 1993 before moving to Sharpsburg, Ga. two years ago. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and had worked at Wal-Mart for a short time. Read More»
