Philip Alan Lohr, 71, of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012.

He was born in Chicago, Ill. on June 18, 1940 to George Lohr and Dorothy Burgess Lohr.

Mrs. Rebecca Louise Vickery McDaniel died June 8, 2012 and is now with her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

Rebecca was born on August 23, 1928 in East Point, Georgia. She retired from The Hartford Insurance Group in 1988. She was a devoted Christian, mother, and grandmother. Jesus was her All and All, and her grandchildren were her life and joy.

Patrick F. Ciandella

Patrick F. Ciandella, 89, died peacefully at his home in Sharpsburg, Ga., with his loving wife of 60 years at his side, on May 22, 2012.

He was born in Jersey City, N.J., on June 21, 1923.

After Pearl Harbor, he volunteered for the Army Air Corp. During the war, he "Flew the Hump" from bases in India and Burma to deliver supplies to Chinese troops fighting the Japanese in China. He was awarded an Air Medal and two Distinguished Flying Crosses for his service. Following the war, he worked for a number of civil aviation firms and lived for three years in Cairo, Egypt. Marshall DaShiell Hitch III, 65, of Forest Park

Marshall DaShiell Hitch III died in his home in Forest Park, Ga., on Friday, May 25 at age 65.

Marshall was formerly of Milford, Conn., where he was active in the Boy Scouts of America and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. He was also active in the Atlanta area community theatres. He played the lead role of Tevye in seven different productions of "Fiddler on the Roof" among many others.

John David Evans, Sr., 88 of Fayetteville

Mr. John David Evans, Sr., born in Gay, Ga., and longtime resident of both Fayetteville and East Point, Ga., passed away on June 2, 2012 at the age of 88.

Mr. Evans was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during WWII.

He attended West Georgia College then graduated with a degree in Industrial Arts from the University of Georgia. John was a master craftsman who taught industrial arts for many years before taking an administrative position within the Fulton County School System. Read More»

Mr. Turner was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving his country in the Korean conflict. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
