Private First Class Amy Elizabeth Layton, 21, of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away Friday, August 13, 2010 resulting from a motor vehicle accident.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Heritage at Bass United Methodist Church, 4062 Vineville Ave., Macon, Ga. Burial will be private. Reverend Rex Odom will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m. in the church.

Mrs. Garner was born on September 25, 1913, in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in Cabool, Missouri, to the late Grover Cleveland (G.C.) Hardin and Iva Ann Weber Hardin. She was the third of ten children.
