In the final minutes of Saturday night's game, Carrollton was marching the ball downfield and was within feet of tying the game at 14-all.
Patriot defenders Jamal Ware and Quintez Williams halted the Trojan tide, with Ware's hit popping the ball loose and Williams smothering the ball, giving Creek the ball on their own 9-yard line with just under 2 minutes to go.
The Patriots offense made it stick, ran out the rest of the clock, and clinched the team's second consecutive state title.
