PTC police: don’t leave valuables in car

Peachtree City police are encouraging residents to stow valuables in their vehicles out of sight.

Owners of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles are particularly asked to use caution, as criminals are using a tool to “punch” the door locks to gain entry to the vehicle, police said. In some cases owners may not even realize items have been taken from their car, police added.
