So I did some research and went through old Town of Tyrone Council Minutes and found some very interesting facts! I thought I would just point them out so the Tyrone Citizens can have the TRUTH about Grace Caldwell. It's amazing all the things she voted "NO" on that she is NOW taking credit for! Crape Murder: Don't be GuiltyBy CAROL STROUD When you get to thinking about fall and winter garden chores, the one chore that you can permanently leave out is whacking your crapemyrtles with a chain saw. Known as “crape murder” in the gardening world, it puzzles me as to how this practice got started. Pruning or topping your crapemyrtles straight across is a needless practice that takes too much time and energy that can be put into other more satisfying and beneficial gardening chores. Thomas Sowell: A letter from a childRecent videos of American children in school singing songs of praise for Barack Obama were a little much, especially for those of us old enough to remember pictures of children singing the praises of dictators like Hitler, Stalin and Mao. Rick Ryckeley: Let’s clear the airGas can kill! Trust me. I know. After Twin Brother Mark ate broccoli at dinner, by bedtime he was deadly. When I was young, I thought that was the worst gas one could possible smell, but as a firefighter, I know that’s not the case. There’s one gas even more deadly than what was produced by Mom’s broccoli cheese casserole and Mark at bedtime. A gas you can’t even smell: Carbon monoxide.
