Last week it was very pleasing to learn that hearings were held on the independence of the Federal Reserve System. The bill HR 1207, known as the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, was discussed at length, as well as the general question of whether or not the Federal Reserve should continue to operate independently.

Members of Fayetteville Christian Church are planning a mission trip to Acuna, Mexico Oct. 5-9 to build a house with Casas por Christo. Covenant Presbyterian members head for Jamaica this Saturday

Eleven members of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville will travel to Jamaica this Saturday for a week of ministry with Praying Pelican Missions. The group will partner with Westgate Hills Baptist Church to support the Montego Bay suburb, encourage the church, and build relationships with the local people. The group will stay from July 18 through July 24.
