All Children's Playground gets another Platinum sponsor The All Children's Playground in Peachtree City went Platinum for a second time when the combined team of the Restaurant Management Group and the Rotary Club of Fayetteville topped $17,000 in donations from their annual golf tournament. Proceeds from the second annual event were totally donated to the playground effort, making them the highest contributor to date. The Fayette-Coweta EMC Foundation is the other Platinum sponsor with a $10,000 donation. The golf tournament started two years ago when Janet Smola, then a new member of the Fayetteville Rotary, was challenged to start an additional fund raising project for the service-oriented club. She accepted the challenge. She partnered with Fred Delawalla, owner of the Restaurant Management Group, better known as Malone's Steak and Seafood and The Olde Mill Steakhouse. Together they planned the golf tournament, and its success over the past two years has enabled them to reach the Platinum level. Mike Jablonski, Fayette Rotary president, said, "We couldn't do this without the commitment and organization of Deanne Spear, Amin Uddin and Navid Ashan of Restaurant Management, who have dedicated themselves to Fred's commitment of community service." Phase one of the three-phase playground is already complete, and the volunteer playground committee is within $10,000 of having enough to complete phase two, which will cost $50,000. The third phase will be the largest, and will cost $100,000. Colleen Sugar, chairman of the committee, lauded the golf tournament sponsors for their generosity, and encourages other groups, businesses and industry to team up to make this dream a reality. The Luther T. Holt All Children's Playground is designed to be fully accessible to all children, regardless of handicap. By allowing children to play with each other, they will learn to accept each other's differences, organizers say. The playground is ramped for full accessibility, and the ground is covered with a rubberized surfacing for accessibility and safety.
