The Citizen closes for holidays The Citizen staff is observing the New Year's holiday Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. The newspaper office will be closed both days and will reopen Thursday at 8:30 a.m. The paper will also observe early deadlines for the Jan. 1, 2003 edition, with advertising and classifieds sales deadline Saturday, Dec. 28 at noon.
