Complaints sound like threats

The Citizen does a great job of covering events of all Fayette citizens and groups. Whether or not "prominent news coverage of African-American sponsored events, before and after the fact, is just as important as any other community news" is a matter of opinion.

I couldn't help but notice the threatening tone of Mr. Jones' letter regarding "insufficient" coverage of NAACP events. I hope the editors of The Citizen do not bend to shakedown tactics and start to cover events solely based on idle threats.

Perhaps the NAACP should walk the talk and try to be more inclusive, and become the NAAAP, "National Association for the Advancement of ALL People".
