Lawmakers were in recess Wednesday and Friday to conduct committee meetings
and allow House and Senate conferees to begin work on a compromise 2004
supplemental budget, which is a revised spending plan for the current
fiscal year that ends June 30. The House has also started working on
the FY 05 budget that begins July 1.
