The Sandy Creek Lady Patriot volleyball team hosted five teams on Saturday and defeated all five teams in two game series. Sandy Creek defeated Villa Rica, 25-17 and 25-17, Harris County, 25-18 and 25-11, Mary Persons, 25-10 and 25-12, Columbus, 25-16 and 25-22 and Northgate, 25-13 and 25-17.
Courtney Bartlett had 71 assists on Saturday, while Alicen Lee had 32 aces and 26 kills. Sharlare Maldonado had nine blocks over the five game span and Kristen Burnett had 27 digs.
Sandy Creek faced Creekside and Woodward Academy at Creekside yesterday afternoon.
McIntoshs games against Wesleyan, Chattahoochee and Peachtree Ridge scheduled for last Thursday were cancelled due to the hurricane. They are being rescheduled. McIntosh hosted Washington County yesterday, after the paper went to press and will host Fayette County and East Coweta on Thursday afternoon. Matches will start at 5 p.m.
