St. Paul students collect $2,400 for Lutheran World ReliefThe student body of St. Paul Lutheran School recently collected an offering of more than $2,400 for Lutheran World Relief (LWR) to be used in relief and recovery efforts for tsunami victims in South Asia. Students from pre-kindergarten through middle school were challenged to raise $1,000 for LWRs Wave of Giving campaign and they more than doubled their goal. Many children did special projects at home and in their neighborhoods to raise money, projects such as yard and home clean-ups, pet care and other chores. Based in Baltimore, Md., Lutheran World Relief provides disaster and developmental assistance to developing and third world countries across the globe. |
