The Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department is offering several classes this springSome of the classes include: Watercolor painting. All sessions are beginner-intermediate level. Join the fun as we build theater skills such as projection, costume design, & pronunciation in these exciting activities. Day: Fridays Fourth annual spring yard sale Take the hassle out of setting up your own yard sale by joining the Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department's biannual community yard sale. Call 770-716-4320 for information. Day: Saturday Babysitter training "What you NEED to know and WHAT every parent wants in a responsible babysitter." This class prepares the participant with basic child care knowledge, first aid & critical emergency action skills. Taught by a certified American Red Cross Instructor. Day: Saturday Pottery classes Pottery, hand-building, and wheel-turning skills for beginners through advanced students. Clay gives both the artist and engineer a medium for expression. You will make functional and/or decorative objects, such as cups, bowls, tiles, vases and birdfeeders. One make-up class is provided. Register in advance. Get fit and healthy The Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department will be offering a series of educational workshops and classes on health, nutrition, and exercise. General nutrition classes for adults and children. Participants will receive free and confidential body fat analysis at each class. Classes are taught be a certified nutritionist. Day: Wednesdays Teen impact The Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department is your Fayette County Volunteer Connection! The Recreation Department is looking for a few good teens (ages 13-18) who need volunteer / community service hours. We have several programs and special events for you to earn hours!
