Lightning pick up fifth straight winThe Southern Crescent Lightning hosted the Carolina Heat on Tuesday night and picked up another win, 117-108. They had a 26-24 lead after the first quarter and fell behind by two points at the half. The two teams battled closely in the third quarter with the Lightning picking up a one point edge heading into the fourth quarter. The Lightning then shut the door, outscoring the Heat 34-26 and sealing the win. Five players on the Lightning were in double digits with Nate Williams and Marcus Taylor scoring 23 points each, Jimmy Baxter adding 22 points, Dajan Smith chipping in 16 points and Tyrone Levitt adding 12 points. Williams also pulled in 11 rebounds in the win. The two teams will meet again at Carolina on Friday and will host their final home game of the season on Saturday.
