Bethany UMC sets anniversary events for September 25 - 29

Members of Bethany United Methodist Church are finalizing plans for their 150th anniversary celebration set to begin Sunday, Sept. 25. Dr. Larry Amos will be the homecoming speaker and a covered dish dinner will follow the 11 a.m. service.

The following Tuesday, Sept. 27, the church will host revival services which will continue through Thursday, Sept. 29. Services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly and will feature a different speaker each night. Brad Wheeler will lead services on Tuesday night.

On Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 11:30 a.m., there will be a special midday service with David Brackman, pastor of Bethany, delivering the message. A lunch will follow the service. Another service will be held Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.

Thursday’s events will begin with a cookout at 6 p.m., followed by a service led by Richard Campbell.

Special outside musical guests also are being invited .
