New dock dedicated to early PTC man

Members of the Peachtree City Rotary Club learned first hand such building terms as “plumb,” “square” and “level” as they built a memorial dock at Line Creek Nature Center.

The new dock is a memorial to Arnold Cheek, who opened the first business in Peachtree City and was well known and loved in the community.

Family and friends of the Cheek family and Rotarians gathered Saturday to officially open the dock, which will be available and open to the public.
