| Rage
wins the county softball championship By MICHAEL
BOYLAN In what was a very hotly contested season of slow pitch softball, the Peachtree City Rage walked away the victors in the league championship. Considered to be the underdog, the Rage, the only team representing Peachtree City, surprised all four Fayetteville teams to win the championship. The final game of the season pitted the Rage against the Fayetteville Roadsters. The game took place on a recent cool and rainy evening. The Rage dug in and manufactured 13 runs to defeat the Roadsters on their home turf, 13-7. The coaches of the Rage, Charlie McCusker and Dave McConnell, felt the game was the highlight of the season. The team was led by the outstanding pitching of Casey Mad Dog McConnell and clutch fielding plays by Ashley Wells, Jamie Ferris and Toni Serratelli. The Rage also had a number of big hits from Summer McCusker, Jennifer Fox, Jamie Smelley and Tracie Strausbaugh.KÄ .
