The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville is looking for men over 40 years old to play in the Fall 1999 indoor soccer league. The season will begin the second week in September and will consist of seven regular season games. Interestyed players should call The Centre at 770-460-8785 or e-mail to coccentr@bellsouth.net.

Georgia Wildlife Federation presents 1999 Atlanta Buckarama at the Atlanta Expo Center August 5-8. Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 6-12 and free to children under the age of 6.

The Fayette County Youth Soccer League will hold one final day of registration on August 7 at the McCurry Soccer Complex from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.Call 770-460-7811.

The WILSON 100 will be held Sunday, Sept. 12. in Fayetteville. The Southern Bicycle League's annual century features rides of 30,60, and 100 miles plus a double metric (124 mile) option! Terrain is flat to rolling hills. $19 advance registration includes t-shirt, emergency road service, rest stops and pizza at end of ride. $24 day-of-ride registration does not guarantee t shirt. The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville is looking for women to play in the Falll 1999 Women's Indoor Soccer League. Players must be at least 6 years old. The season is scheduled to begin the second week in September. Call 770-460-8785.

For only $5, mountain bikers can take a guided overnight trip at Fort Mountain State Park. The ride is scheduled for August 7 and gear will be transported for riders while they tackle a 14.6 mile advanced mountain bike trail. The ride begins at 1 p.m. Call 706-695-2621 by Aug. 1.

The 10th annual Friend of Youth golf tournament will be held on September 13 at Flat Creek Golf Club. Registration starts at 11:30, lunch is at 12 and the shotgun start beins at 1 p.m. The tournament is sponsored by the Optimist Club and the fee is $75. Call 770-631-0657 or 770-487-3818.

Fayette County High School will hold their volleyball tryouts, August 2-6 with two a days running from 8-10 a.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m.. Tryouts are open to any Fayette County High School student and there will be a make up date on Saturday, August 7 from 8-11 a.m.

McIntosh High School will hold their volleyball tryouts August 2,3,4 at the kedron Aquatic Center and Field House. Incoming frshmen should only be there from 3-5 p.m. while all other students and retrning players should be there from 5-7 p.m. All interested parties must have their physicals and release forms to tryout.

The Fayette County Youth Softball Association will hold registration for the fall season the last three Saturdays in August at the McCurry Park Softball Complex in Fayetteville. Slow pitch costs $40 for one child, $70 for two children, and $100 for three. Fast pitch costs $60, $100, and $120. New Hope Baptist Church is having registration for their fall T-Ball and Baseball leagues. T-Ball is for 4-6 year olds and baseball is open to 7-8 year olds. Both leagues are for boys and girls.
