Fyt35: Our days of numbered

I remember when the presidential elections gave you a sense of pride; how my parents and grandparents took this very seriously based on experience, real issues, and what was good for our great nation.

Fyt35: An inconvenient truth!

Fyt35: Dirty liberal politics

When backed in the corner, what should a liberal do? How about some dirty politics attacking Sarah Palin and her family? Unbelievable!

Fyt35: No gasoline in Fayetteville!

What in the world! Took the wife to the airport last night and noticed empty gas stations and long lines in F'ville. Ended up filling my tank in college Park and my son had to go to Riverdale last night.

Fyt35: Senoia restaurants

Has anyone tried the Redneck Gourmet or Maguire’s in Senoia? I’m curious to read some feedback before trying it myse

Fyt35: CRCT scores: What’s up Kathy Cox?

Once again the reports are out that the students of this state have failed miserably the CRCT. After spending days teaching the test instead of learning the material this is what we get, more failure. Our education ranks near the bottom, the situation has not improved since Kathy Cox took office, what exactly is her job? What are the teachers teaching in the classroom? Who is monitoring progress? What are the parents doing about or is school just a babysitting service? How ridicolulous it is to blame it on the test; if you teach the material you should pass it, it’s not brain surgery.

Fyt35: Mother's Day brunch

Trusted bloggers, can you recommend a good Mother’s Day brunch close to the county or in metro Atlanta within reason?

Fyt35: McIntosh wins vs Westminster!

In what could be one of the best lacrosse games yet of the season for the Chiefs, they have advanced in the state playof

Fyt35: BCS: what a mess!

If you are college football fan, this has been a crazy season! But in my humble football opinion, the BCS got it wrong again. How could you justify giving LSU three opportunities at No.1? How can you let Ohio State in when all they did was sit around for weeks and watch everybody else fall week after week? Do you really think Tennessee would have been given the same opportunity if the Vols have won the SEC championship?

Fyt35: Restaurants in Fayette County

Well, it looks like Johnny Carinos closed its doors in Fayetteville; I don’t know when this happened since I don’t frequent The Pavilion that much.

Fyt35: Football playoffs

Mike, Kevin or anyone that may know. Do you have any idea what the possible playoff match-ups could be for our local high school teams?

Fyt35: County volleyball champions?

Sandy Creek will play Columbus tomorrow Saturday at 1:30 PM for the sate AAA volleyball title. In an all county match up, Starr’s Mill and McIntosh will be facing each other for the AAAA championship at 4:00 PM.

Fyt35: High School volleyball championships

The 2007-2008 GHSA semi-final volleyball championships will start on November 1st and we have two schools representing our county.

Fyt35: First BCS poll of the year

Well,
The first BCS poll is out and as a fan this does not appear to be as controversial as some in the past. I would have to agree wit the top 10; especially Ohio Sate, South Florida, Boston, LSU and Oklahoma taking the first five spots. What do you all think?

Fyt35: Ahmadinejad and Chavez team up

Wow, Heckle and Jeckle are at it again. These guys are two peas in a pod; do you want to let these two idiots speak on American soil again? Read below for the story.

Fyt35: Terrorism and gay rights

The bright scholars on capitol hill have come up with a new one, senate Democrats and some Reps have attached hate crimes legislation to the massive bill funding the Defense Department and the Iraq war. Here are some of the excerpts:

Fyt35: Welcome Iran to NYC!

It has made me sick to my stomach to find out that Iranian dictator Ahmadinejad wanted to visit ground zero, thankfully he was denied. But to speak at prestigious Columbia University? what in the world are they thinking? This school denied access to our own ROTC, but to allow a sponsor of terrorism to come to our shores?
