Republican Redistribution?

Just how far has the party supposedly on the right slipped? An interesting article concerning the Big 3 Auto Bailout and a Republican Congressman from Michigan revealed that my party is coming apart at the seams. It appears that Rep Knollenberg, when quesioned about taxpayer concerns over the bailout, responded that the money belonged to Congress not the taxpayers.

Harold, I Guess I'm Irresponsible.....

....so you and pal Bernie go ahead and make the decision for me and mine regarding trash services. Having gone into business with each other, you surely know better than us mere citizens what it is that is in our best interests.

Congratulations And Godspeed To Mr Obama

I did not support the man, did not vote for the man, and attempted to sway others to my point of view , but despite all of this he is now the President-Elect of the United States. As such, I ask that all Americans rally to the cause that enables a nation such as ours to select its leadership without fear of reprisal.

Darn, I'm Tired Of All This Crap!

Come Wednesday morning hopefully we're all going to awaken pissed off, happy, or still in the fog of blissful ignorance. For me I'm thinking of going fishing and getting away from computers, televisions, radios, or even current print for I've become afflicted with pre-election overload.

Enough Already!

Simply stated, in the past two weeks many like myself have lost upwards of twenty percent of their portfolios during this "economic crises." Democrats are blaming Republicans and Republicans are blaming Democrats in hopes that their respective citizenry is both stupid and naive enough to believe them.

Imagine If This Election Were....

....taking place in the old west, let's say mid 1870"s in a bustling Wyoming and somehow Peachtree City was plunked down right in the middle of it. Sure,it's election time and old Harold and Boone are at the Y-Knot saloon buying up volunteers to not only vote their way, but enlisting the help of those departed souls who reside in the local cemetery.

What If We Tell Wall Street No?

We have a constitutional right to expect a solid separation between church and state, and I propose that we create that separation within the business community. Could it be that those distinguished statesmen/women in Washinton fear the fact that a free enterprise system could possibly still work.

We Deserve What We Get....

...when we do not take the time to truly identify who it is we place into public office/trust. It is indeed difficult to become answerable to a public for which one serves, but to my knowledge each individual elected to office has done so voluntarily.

MEMORIAL DAY

Fellow bloggers I ask that you attend your local Memorial Day activities a week from Monday. Irrespective of how you may view the military, this day is set aside to honor those who have fallen in defense of our nation during current and previous conflicts.

McCain-Clinton Ticket????????

Found an interesting article at Townhall.com that while quite extreme, was indeed interesting.

What if there was such a thing? Would Her Highness subordinate herself to be placed as a number 2, would McCain be maverick enough to do such a thing? Could it be a precursor to the demise of the two major parties?

Nine Months More To Bash The President....

....for whatever missteps we can recall over the last seven years, then until we grow old will we be subject to both the spoken and written words of defammation that still lingers. These certainly are not unlike those when a comparison is made to his predessor, or his, or even his, and so on.

Random Thoughts

With the demise of SB458 the Fayette County schools breathe a sigh of relief, while absolutely nothing of consequence will be done to remedy a problem that will only get worse. The problem remains for Clayton County kids and will only worsen in time.

Racism Vice Culturalism?

With all the hoopla ongoing between the two Democratic candidates regarding the race issue, and now the somewhat implied racially toned issues facing us locally because of the imminent loss of accredidation of the Clayton County Schools, I submit that the issue is one of culturalism not race.

SLIP SLIDING AWAY

The old song from the sixties, "Slip Sliding Away", keeps coming to mind when reflecting upon the decline in the quality of life that so many of us have enjoyed over the years in Peachtree City.
