Sad News for those of us who love Gospel Music. The great Dottie Rambo died in a tour bus accident Sunday morning. Dottie's career as an artist and composer spanned 50 years or more.

I finally feel like everything is right with the world. The bulldogs find a way to win, Ga Tech finds a way to lose, and the Falcons find ways to lose. Not to mention that the Falcons and the Saints are in stiff competition for the worst record and the corresponding first round draft pick. Yep..... I'd say everything is just about right with the world.

Free Genarlow

I have to put my two cents worth in here for Genarlow Wilson. For those of you unfamiliar, he was the 17 year old black male convicted as a sex offender for consensual oral sex with a 15 year old. He is currently serving a 10 year sentence for aggravated child molestation. Yesterday Judge Thomas Wilson of the Monroe County Superior Court found that Genarlow’s sentence met the definition of “cruel and unusual punishment”, granted his appeal, and changed his conviction to a misdemeanor. This meant that since Genarlow had already served two years and the maximum for a misdemeanor was one year that Genarlow should go free.

MSN ran an article recently entitled ""The Customer Service Hall of Shame"". The article discussed quite correctly in my view the complete lack of customer orientation in the customer service department of most major companies and the lack of choice that consumers have.

Red lights all trhe way

I remember reading an article either here or in the print edition a good while back. According to the article, Fayetteville was spending at least $250,000 for fiber optics to synchronize all the red lights in town thereby cutting traffic tremendously.

MSN ran an article last week by Scott Burns entitled "Is Home Depot Shafting Shoppers?" in which he cited his frustration with Home Depot’s lack of customer service commitment. The article which allowed comments has raised a firestorm of criticism for Home Depot (4890 messages as of 8:41 this morning and garnered a response from Frank Blake the Home Depot CEO.
