MLB, MLBPA, TOPPS & UPPER DECK CELEBRATE NATIONAL BASEBALL CARD DAY

HEROES CARDS, COMICS AND GAMES will give away exclusive baseball card packs during March 29 event
NEWNAN,GA. -- Major League Baseball and the Major League Players Association, in conjunction with licensees Topps and Upper Deck, will celebrate the second annual National Baseball Card Day on Saturday, March 29. On this day, exclusive baseball card packs will be given away to kids, collectors and fans nationally. HEROES CARDS, COMICS AND GAMES on 211-A BULLSBORO DR NEWNAN GA will be hosting an event where special packs will be distributed to fans and collectors.
National Baseball Card Day is part of a comprehensive effort to promote the baseball card category to kids and new collectors. MLB, MLBPA, and industry leaders Topps and Upper Deck have both individually and collectively worked to develop baseball card products that appeal to fans of all ages. More than 800,000 packs were given away during the inaugural National Baseball Card Day in 2006.
"We are thrilled to once again partner with MLBPA, Topps and Upper Deck to give hundreds of thousands of people the chance to own an exclusive set of baseball cards and engage in one of the most time-honored traditions of the game,” said Howard Smith, Senior Vice President, Licensing, Major League Baseball Properties. Musicology is excited to present award-winning Celtic/American string wizard Robin Bullock in concert. Saturday, March 29 at 7:00 at the Coweta County Performing Arts Centre. There will also be a guitar workshop offered during the afternoon at the Centre. Robin Bullock is a prolific composer and multi-instrumentalist, whose virtuosity on guitar, cittern, and mandolin blends ancient Celtic melodies and their vigorous Appalachian descendants into one powerful musical vision. Robin's solo career has won him three Washington Area Music Association WAMMIE Awards, a Governor's Award from the Maryland State Arts Council, and a feature broadcast on National Public Radio's popular Celtic music program "The Thistle and Shamrock".
